Road Trips:

Route 66: The Mother Road

Get out on the road and travel to Twentieth Century America! Experience the many good things and places from those fun and amazing years.

We have over 60 travel destinations in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas completed. Visit again soon as we add trips to New England, Florida, California, Montana, the Oregon coast, the Carolinas, and mid-America.

We're from small town America, so we travel down the highway to many small towns, but also tour larger cities such as New Orleans, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Texarkana, Natchez, Lake Charles and other communities.

Our sites span from the communities of the hill country of North Louisiana to the Cajun and Creole towns of South Louisiana and Acadiana. We'll visit Leesville to the west near the Texas border, and head to East Louisiana where we find Jonesville, St. Francisville and Rayville near Mississippi.

Downtown Alexandria Louisiana

We take tours to Texarkana and Vicksburg, and head out west to New Mexico and Arizona and get some kicks on Route 66!

Our road tours focus on travel, tourism, photography, architecture, postcards, and urban landscapes as we visit towns and cities.

We include Americana memorabilia, artifacts, photographs and other items as we journey to simpler times in America.

We have sections dealing with vintage motels and retro architecture and a collection of over 500 historic postcards ... and lots more content!

Our plans are to continue to grow this site, as well as individual city sites, such as the popular Alexandria, Louisiana Retospective.

Enjoy your road trip!
